Beer Cheese Fondue
Yield: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese
- 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 TBSP cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Few drops hot pepper sauce
- 2/3 cup beer or skim milk or broth
- Optional
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- pepper
- Dippers
- apple slices
- French bread cubes
Directions:
- Make sure cheese is at room temperature.
- Combine cheeses, cornstarch, mustard. Add Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce.
- Heat beer and garlic until warm.
- Gradually add cheese mixture, stirring constantly, over medium -low until cheese melts.
- Serve with Bread and apple dippers.
